COSMOS FLOWER FANCY

Hope you all had a great weekend. I've been busy painting away. This one is from a weekend drawing and painting event at WetCanvas that I finished today. With this dreary winter weather I seem to thrive painting flowers, helps to brighten the day!! Hope you like them. These were done quickly about an hour Alla Prima ( that means-all at once-in painter talk LOL ) I like this whimsical look.!!

ROSE BUD

Well, it feels good to be back. Was away for a while.

Painted this delicate Bud last night for the WDE at WetCanvas that goes on every weekend ( if you go HERE and read the stickys at the top of the forum page. It will explain what a WDE is, anyone, member or not can participate they are so much fun to do!!)

It's so good to be painting again. This was done on gallery wrapped canvas, no need to frame, in Acrylics. Many glazes especially on the background to get it to recede. Had fun painting this little gem. What do you think?

More to come. Have two more large paintings on the go right now, more flowers.

LUSCIOUS

This is a WIP (Work In Progress) started this last night just working on some ideas for larger paintings, and trying different techniques, basically playing with my paints. Oh what fun, nothing like doing something you love to do.

This still has some work left to do, but posted it so I can have a better look at it really. Gives you a better way to view your work. There is some light background work done, but it's not showing up here. I can see right away some areas that need some pizzaz. Too tired to keep going, will finish later.

Update........Jun4/07...did a few more touches to this. I'm finished with this one now. My daughter loves it so going to give it to her!!
