Tulips "SPRING JEWELS"

It's that wonderful time of the year again. Time for some Color.....Look what nature has brought us..........
I loved painting this! I imagined myself as a small mouse or rabbit looking up thru the flowers. It's a "happy painting". Acrylic on Canvas

Shez - thank you for the comments on my blog. I don't think the snail creeper is native to Australia. We've had it a couple of years but that's the first time it's flowered. I will try and get some close up photos for you. I can see by your work that it could be something you would be interested in painting. Do you just paint from real life, photos or just from memory, or all three?

Would you be interested in painting some of the more unusual Australian native plants? If so, perhaps you would like to send me your email address so that I can email photos when I get some good ones. Mine is on my profile.

I shall keep my eye on your paintings. Well done.

Hi Alice,
Nice to see you over here. Thankyou for your lovely comments. I appreciate them.
Yes I love flowers, and I'm trying to get better at painting them. I use photos, real life or memory for my paintings. I like to have macro references for the different flowers to see the details better etc. I keep photos references for everything, landscapes and street scenes, trees, birds, animals.
Thankyou for your lovely offer of some photos. I would love that!!
I usually ask for permission to copy a photo if I see something that might come in handy or I just love on someones site. If I use it I contact the owner and send them a link, or copy of what I did. I also always give their name as a photo reference for that painting. I will email you Alice thanks again.

Hi Kerri, Thankyou for all your great comments. Us artists are an insecure bunch. We love feedback!!

Thanks for your entry in my guestbook. Great blog you have here. I took a look at the 50x50 project and copied your link to the jackson pollockgame.
Lots of success with your artwork and I'll see you at the WDEs
